I would love to get the RS but none of the local dealers are getting enough allocations to fullfill the looooong list they have. I would pay MSRP for one of I was given the opportunity. Having said that, I am not the guy who needs it right now. I am willing to wait if I have to.

I have the 991 GT3 and am perfectly happy with it. I also have a 996 GT3 that is primarily my track car. Lately I have been doing some soul searching on switching to a cup car are not. As much as I would love to have one, I just don't get the opportunity to track enough to warrant the price of admission or the operating cost IMO. Perhaps sell the 996 GT3 and replace it with the 991 RS? Use the cash of the 6GT3 and what I would spend on a cup car and voila , it adds up to 991 GT3 RS money.

But then the old school me chimes in and reminds me how much I enjoy the old 6GT3 and it's old school , raw, heel toe shifting bliss. After spending all that money on a 991 GT3 RS would there be a void there that the new car couldn't fill? For the amount of enjoyment I get out of the 6GT3 per its cost of admission and operation , IMO it is the track car bargain of the decade. My opinion of course. Ahhhh. My mind is all over the place on this one.

Since I can't make up my mind I just stay with what I have for now and have not pushed the issue.

One thing is for sure whichever car we all end up with 991 GT3 or RS. Both are great cars and will no doubt be great buys.

Time will tell I guess.

My dealer called me Saturday for 2 reasons.

First, the wife's Macan S is being put on the boat in Germany today for the trip over. Expected in April.

Second, I'm #2 on her GT3 list, but not sure if she will get 2 (she hopes more). She sold either 5 or 6 GT3, so I'm hoping she does get 2. But who knows, she acts like she doesn't.

Don't grey the car out - look at what happened to your GT3 that was grey!

Purple or Orange - pick your poison before you're hunting for a replacement in six months!

I'm sure we have plenty of time to change the config. I'm still focused on lava, however a white would pair nicely with my white cayenne GTS....so I may change to white in the end to be more low key if that is even possible with this car. In my neck of the woods an orange RS with a big wing will attract as much attention as an Enzo...

Precisely what I'm thinking. I could drive white, black or silver to the quarry without creating a riot.

Time to pop that girls cherry! Been a long winter and Sunday will be acceptable weather-wise for a drive.
I would love to....I'm 1/2hr north of Albany...looking for some rain to wash the salt off the roads...which is still causing a salt dust storm up here. I'm up for a meet and greet later this spring. Thank you for the invite AC...

I definitely will. I will get a hotel room near the meeting place...
It would be a blast to hang out with metro NY enthusiasts.

Did she specify '5 consecutive years'? That's not what I'm reading...

I'm just sayin'
