Has your dealer received any info on his 991 RS allocations yet?

I received the following email. I placed a deposit long time ago, and I have a great relationship with the dealer, and the sales advisor. I did not inquire about allocations, or availability (I refuse to get worked up over speculative subjects). This was a pro-active email.
My opinion: There will be allocations available. The market for a track focused car costing nearly $200,000 is quite small, and we on Rennlist represent the "lunatic fringe". Just because we desperately want a GT3 RS does not mean that general car enthusiasts feel the same way. Be patient, and you will get an allocation.
email from the dealer:
Porsche did announce the GT3-RS at Geneva as everyone expected. They now have the web-site available to plan, design and begin to configure a new RS.
We do not have information concerning dealership allocations but we do know that Porsche sent the letters to clients who ordered the 918 Spyder to give them the first right-of-refusal for ordering a GT3-RS if they desired.
Porsche expects those responses back by March 13th in order to claim a GT3-RS allocation. Porsche then plans to allocate the remaining production to dealerships after that. They have not given us timing as to when we might receive our first word of allocations, but we are thinking maybe we will hear in late March or April.
That is all the information we have at present. We don’t know how many we will get or when they will start. But you can now go online and begin to design a GT3-RS and explore the options available with the first releases.
The link to the website configurator is à http://cc.porsche.com/icc_pcna/ccCal...fmodelstart%2f
As you experiment with the configurator, don’t hesitate to contact me with questions. When you have a ‘working’ model of your design, share the Porsche CODE number with me and I can see your configuration too.
We will not likely be ordering for quite some time, but at least Porsche has announced the beginning of this highly anticipated product.

I just put a deposit with my dealer in Mx for trying to get an allocation, they say it is going to be pretty tough to get one... I currently own a 2014 991 GT3, white with pccbs no lift, and chrono included, has 4672 miles and i love it in every way... Im still undecisive about the trade of the gt3 if the time comes and they get me an rs. I need to see how it performs out of the race track, also i did notice on the videos that the engine sounds exactly as the 991 GT3... Speaking design, i personally think it is a winner. Hope to see new videos and specially i have to see Jethro bovingdon and Chris Harris. Peace out
I've heard they will start production in june.
Drive safe out there...

Nope here too. My dealer said builds are June, July, August... Letters went out to Spyder owners affirming their interest. The rest of us poor souls have to wait. I believe I'll get one, just not for a few months. That said, my car arrived last week, taking delivery end of next week. Cannot wait. White, black wheels, black lights, full leather, buckets.

My dealer speculates 3-4 allocations and a wait list of 8.....he was up front and said a $10-20K markup is likely.....deposit (refundable) required now to reserve spot 9....

My dealer officaly will get 4. He wants at least 5 but works on getting 7 but could prbl even sell more.
By they way, they managed to sell 4 997RS4.0!
So this shows that the car is really not "freely" available. Also got information that it will only be built this year ....
