Will you buy an RS POLL

Lots of people seem to still be specing lift - given the car is 13mm higher than the GT3 I've passed on it. I've used the GT3 lift a couple of times only, but realize I don't really need it for where I drive.

I agree. I don't have the lift on my GT3 and will pass on it for the RS if I get one.

The ride height is adjustable - you probably don't know what the ride height will end up being.
I suppose that Porsche delivers the car in a base setup that might need some tweeking before you are totally happy.

^^^Appreciate the video.
AP mentions that the RS' HP is very conservative, so I would guess the RS has approx 520 HP and the GT3 should be around 490?
Early teaser pics - I was not crazy about the front fender vents. In the flesh, it looks killer. Yeah, I want one (RS)! If my dealer offers me a great trade in, I'm in...

I am such idiot that I managed to scrap the bottom even WITH THE LIFT UP!!! I should have come in at an angle, which sometimes is as important as clearance. The " you are a moron " look that my wife gave me was priceless.

My dealer wants my config. code, PG36BZY2 , and a deposit by the end of today and felt confident I would get an allocation within the next two weeks.
I voted here I was thinking about it.
After the first track experience with my GT3 two weeks ago I was convinced I would never reach the limits of this cars capability and after much reflection I am certain of that.
I am not going to go ahead with the RS. I have all I can ever hope to handle.

Agreed with Jenk here. No need for lift. Cost of lift can pay for lifetime supply of PMNA front lips. It's a wear item.
Getting 991 RS. Not convinced it will be more fun than my 7.2 GT3. My guess is I will take delivery, enjoy it, and conclude rowing through gears is more fun for me. Doubt I would enjoy tracking events as much, but will be surely faster.

I am in!
Signed an option in May 2012! and was only no. 2 on my dealers list at that time (still no. 2 so ) - can you believe that!!!
In between I had some doubts - even sold my 997.2GT3RS (well once in a while I make some bad moves ) but this was also due to health issues.
Then I had a 991C2S manual - nice car - but not made for the track and the 7 MT was not good
Was unsure about PDK and test drove the 991GT3 for one hour in OCt. 2013 and was sold after 15 min - killer. First autobox I like
And now I am all in on the RS. Signed contract on last Tuesday and went to Geneva on Thursday to see it in the metal - and yes baby its a great car! For me it is serious looking and not a show car like 458/488 or any of the Macs or the Lambos and that is the big advantage of the RS. And this is for me also I reason why I do not miss any shiny carbon fiber gimmick on the outside!
And I guess it will be a keeper and I also will try to keep my 991GT3 for some long time or at one time I make a jump to and older Cup car ...
We will see but for now it is the RS!!!!
Can't wait to get it. Hope my SA has some news this week about possible delivery.
by the way - I switched from lava to white after seeing the car in Geneva.
Remidns me to much of tomato soup I always have at my favorite Italian restaurant
and white will be a rare colour and since I will wrap it anyhow I might even opt for voodoo blue wrap

I was #4 on my dealers list for a RS with a fairly decent chance of getting an actual allocation based on the number of GT3s they got.
After my GT3 arrived and given careful consideration for how I intend to use my car, I decided to pass on the RS as it did not find into my criteria, so I surrendered my spot in line.
I look forward to seeing and possibly running against one as a friend of mine will be getting one (he's #1 at my dealer and also has a 997 4.0RS and 458 Speciale). I just need to convince him to bring it out to the track
