Well, no. In my opinion, if you will not track the car, save your money for something more fun like a Sharkwerks bypass. I do track my car and take passengers, I feel better with the harness on. When it's not being tracked, the harness gets tucked away under the seat mostly. It would look odd to see someone driving regular streets with the harness on.

Any idea on how to make room in the passenger bucket seat for the sub straps? The driver seat has the slit in the bottom cushion already, but not on the passenger side.

Search RL. Montoya and Orthojoe have a thread. You need to cut the LWB passenger seat.

Edit. Nm. You are in Dubai. Nontheless, I will double check. Not holding my breath...
Are the lower mounts available on the US cars? More specifically, in the gt2? I like the idea of attaching to the car, seems more secure than just the seat like bbi. That said, the load is already on the seat with the 3-point.

You would have to get the mounting plates. If you are interested, I have a pair which I did not use.

If you have a GT2 or any other car with the carbon bucket seats, you can use the Schroth 4-pt designed for that seat. PCA North America approved it as the only acceptable 4-pt, and it works great! Due to the design of the harness and the seat working together, a sub-strap is not needed.

Definitely better than 3 point but 6 point is just lightyears ahead. Ironically, will actually help you become smoother as there is less body weight transitions.

I have 6 point harnesses in my WRL race car and 4 point in my RS .2 with buckets. Really impressed with the 4 point having run at COTA and other circuits.

Yep, the 4-pt with the bucket seat is no difference between that and the 6-pt with racing seat, except it's a tad more comfortable. Randy Pobst agreed with me.

How many people mount the 6-point harness submarine strap to the oem carbon buckets bar under the seat (recommended by CMS) vs using a additional bar such as that supplied by GMG or BBI?
