Back to the salesman... and to my surprise he told me that they could still get an allocation. Deposit paid... April production confirmed.

Yes... I went in to the dealer 10 days ago intent on buying a GT4. However, the salesman was honest enough to say that he thought I might have an issue in the future with resale of a manual in Dubai. On the way out my wife spotted a second hand GT3 and asked why I didn't just get one of those as its what I had always really wanted anyway.
Back to the salesman... and to my surprise he told me that they could still get an allocation. Deposit paid... April production confirmed.

Same here as I just placed my order and paid deposit. Was calling dealers to try and get on the RS wait list and found one that just got another GT3 slot. Build sheet completed and deposit paid. Awaiting confirmation. Currently in V070 status. Fingers crossed it works out!

So you're saying you JUST placed a order of your spec to be built. And when would expected delivery be if that's the case?
