Do alternate tire sizes affect ABS?

With the 996 GT3 people ran many different tire sizes with success, but I remember with the 997 the ABS became more finicky and 'ice mode' would be initiated sometimes with non-standard tire diameters.
Has anyone tried alternate tire sizes with the 991 GT3?
(If one was going to track often, it seems reasonable to go to 19s for more tire availability. Also, depending on the track tire brand you could probably save more than $700 a set)

One of my Australian colleagues works with Bosch calibrating ABS systems and also competes seriously in tarmac rallies such as Targa Tasmania.
His advice is that an ABS system is calibrated to the exact type and size of tire specified and fitted by the manufacturer. Obviously that is a general statement, not specific to 991 GT3's however he was adamant when asked the question directly on more than one occasion.
