Is the 991 less stable in winter conditions?

Had my car since December 1.
Mounted the recomemnded Pirelli snows on all 4.
Tried different tire pressures.
Have driven about 3000 winter miles.
Notice that the car is hyper-sensitive to cross winds, and wants to push wide (understeer) in even slightly slippery conditions.
Wonder if this is infulenced by the "tuning" of the rear wheel steer.
Very mediocre in snowy conditions (compared to my last 3 Porsches).
Anyone else notice anything similar?

I have the Alpins on, not the Pirellis.
Tail seems to slide out on turns in slippery conditions a bit too easily, but hey, that's a bit of fun. I agree that cross winds buffet the car a bit, and I was wondering if the wing has something to do with it. Handles pretty well in light snowy conditions. I haven't driven it in the heavy snow, as the clearance just doesn't allow it.
Otherwise, it's reasonably stable for a car wearing such wide tires on the snow and ice.
