7,800 Miles, 10 Track Events, Original Brakes and Tires, No problems with either this engine or the original
engine. By far the most reliable and maintenance free of the 15 911s I've owned, driven and raced since 1966 which included previous GT3s, Turbos and normally aspirated models.
Occasionally smokes on start-up and has consumed one quart of oil, but I fully expect that with any high
RPM high HP engine requiring larger internal clearances. IMHO, a Sensational and highly reliable Car in every way.

10 track events in the same tires and brakes? You need to drive faster ;-)

I'm at about 10,800 miles. I've put in a 1/2 quart of oil about every 4,000 miles (getting close to the 3rd half-quart). The only "trouble" was, the first few weeks that I had it, I had a few of the "lift system fault" messages. It was like two the first weekend, one a week later, another one 2 weeks later, and nothing since. So, I consider it to have been an outcome of sitting in a parking lot in Rhode Island for 6 months.

Not a big deal as I never use it but the cup holder in carbon had to be replaced. Passengers would get in the car and do a "what's this" and open it. It would take a dozen attempts to close it again.

I have a problem. I find myself daily driving too much instead of saving the ride for weekends. It's a total waste to drive in traffic so, I'm going to have to pick and choose when to drive during weekdays depending upon destination. Ideally, I should just drive her on weekends.

Dan (is at 2,200 miles in about 2 months and should cut that in half but probably wont)

I had the same issue with my cup holder (not CF though). It was discovered by the tech doing the pre-delivery inspection and replaced before I got the car. I tried opening it once after that to test it, not again since. I was told the cassette retailed for $1800...

The window regulator for the driver door was noisy and replaced.

Some scuff marks on the roof were buffed out.

Other than the various campaigns for the thermostat and fender liner the car has been perfect mechanically. Both the first and second engine smoked/smokes occasionally on startup but neither used/uses oil.

Funny how "rock solid" can be relative. 3000 miles with no issue seems to be solid for a 991 GT3. I would call my folks 2002 GS300 rock solid, with no issues at 180K miles.

I hope most issues remain simple electrical malfunctions and glitches in the long run.

My problem is not being able to drive the car period. Cold snowy weather with tons of salt and debris on the roads.

Default Still have Misfires on cold startup

Will be bring her back to service for further diagnostics as to why. Once warm car performs perfectly but getting to that point is disconcerting.
