How sad are we - I thought exactly the same thing before I'd seen your comment!! It might be shallow to say so but for me it's no longer a GT3 without the spoiler.

saw many people do this on their 997.2 RS's. That looked good because it had the small lip that came up.

Here, you are basically creating a GT3 that no one would want to buy.

You have to ask WHY??? If you don't like the tail and don't use at speed then buy a GTS.
