Default 18 way seats not heated, can you make them?

I am buying a loaded gt3, it seems to have most options, but no heated seats. Can you make them heated?

I don't know for sure whether it would be possible to retrofit seat heating. It might be integrated into the seat in such a way that it could be very difficult if not impossible. For sure it would cost a bundle.

I've had heated seats in every 911 I've had. This time I deliberately did not order the heated seats and can't say I miss them. The alcantara is never super cold like leather and the car really does heat up very quickly. If the car you're buying has everything else you want, unless you absolutely must have it, I wouldn't bother with the retrofit.

I disagree with Haku - even though I love him like a brother. The heated seats extend the "windows down" driving season and allow you to hear that sweet, sweet music coming from the exhaust.

Turn up the heater, wear more clothes, maybe even a cap. Windows down, no problem. Problem solved.

I'll bet the seat heating is like most cars - it is a separate mesh with a heating element wired to the switch. Back in the day, I had a WRX (duh) and I wanted heated leather seats. I bought a leather seat kit that had an option of seat heating. It was very simple to install, but does require removal of the seat covering. I'm sure it can be done with a little work, and probably not that much cost. IIRC the seat heating element and wiring kit was around $200 for both front seats for the Subie, so count on more for the P car.

Sean, what a lovely compliment!

Re the window down and listen to the wondrous exhaust... I do that too... what's the problem with the grungy icicle dripping from my nose and me in an Eskimo suit!

I'll be honest... I should have had them on my order...as well as the silver belts...and the ceramics...

Your call is the right one mate!

I love the heated seats, something I use almost daily in the winter months here in CO. Even though it's not as cold here as the north east, heated seats is something I've always really enjoyed. While it's true the alcantara never gets too cold, some of us, are just naturally cooler than others and the heated seats are a nice addition. Would I go through the trouble of getting them added if my seats didn't come with them, NO.

I have them in my new Gt3. Very toasty. Setting 1 is good enough briefly. Live in Seattle.
Wife wanted them.
Not necessary though. Gt2 seats in the 07 gt3 warm enough with alcantara unless they get wet during rainy track days and open windows. Then it's not fun anymore.

No doubt the wire and plug are there. Just buy the seats and sell yours. Plug and play I'm sure.
