Default Silver for Black Wheel Trade

Anyone out there with new or lightly used black wheels favoring the silvers? My white GT3 just arrived with the silvers and although stunning IMHO, I think I'd prefer the blacks. May end up painting them if no luck with a trade.

You should probably just powder coat them!

I think it looks perfect as it sits.

Thanks. I'm on the fence about the wheel color. My kids strongly prefer the black. I do like the way the silvers pop. Think I'll live with them awhile. We should all have such problems!

That's a good plan, and if they drive you crazy, see above.

I have to agree, your car looks 'white' right

I would enjoy them until they are chipped or you get sick of them. Then I would powder coat them down the road and it will be like a new toy again

Yeah, I'd powdercoat the stock wheels a nice satin black before I'd rock glossy black wheels.

Black wheels are so 2000's. Painting them black is a great way to lose all detail and make them look smaller! Stick with the silver

Your car looks the same as mine

I personally like the black wheels on a white GT3. To me it looks nice and aggressive and fits the character of the car better. I would plastidip them. That way if you decide to go back to silver, just peel it off. Best of both worlds. Just take your time. It's much easier than you'd imagine and you'll spend less than 50 bux to do all 4 wheels. Plenty of Youtube videos on how to do a good job without runs and when done properly, virtually indistinguishable from paint.

I'm in the contrasting wheels camp. Dark color body, light colored wheels and vice versa. As mentioned above, plastidip would work for well. I did it on a set of BBSs and it was fine, and was still in good shape when I sold the car, in spite of the German weather. DIY also. Just make sure to do at least 4 thin coats for good results in my experience.

Agree. I changed my order spec to silver painted wheels when I saw them. It's the right color to me and coordinates with LED headlamps and interior trim

Or buy black ones from Suncoast and sell yours. I love the glossy black wheels on this car. With black PDLS and PCCB s, it'll look menacing. i went with that combo and irons. Car arrives March. Cannot wait. Once I saw the glossy wheels on this far I was sold. Pictures don't do them justice.

I agree completely. I have gloss black with black headlights and it really goes together well in my opinion.
