I'll definitely look into it! I normally replace mine every couple of years. But never under warranty

Most people sell their cars before any real yellowing starts to show, me thinks.

Sadly, 3M didn't have a 60" roll available when my car was getting done so I couldn't do the full hood. Ended up with Xpel instead.
How is 3M better than Xpel ? What is the difference ?

Well I got the Lumar. It is almost impossible to tell the front clip has been wrapped. It has done well after some track days as well with no damage noted. I have the clearplex installed as well. It has a couple of installation bubbles and has some distortion in a few areas but overall it's worth it. It has taken several hits and the glass is undamaged . I hate that fine sandblasted effect especially from track days and there is none of that to date. I chose the Lumar because I live in a small town and it is the only product the only installer we have in the area uses. He does all the work for the local Porsche Dealer and says he uses it because the clarity is unbeatable.

We have used everything on the market on both street cars and race cars and Xpel Ultimate is by far the best product out there. As a matter of fact we have a 2012 911 Cup car that is white and we put different brands of film on it, one brand on the front bumper, Xpel Ultimate on the hood and another brand on the doors. The Xpel Ultimate is the only one that did not show signs of yellowing and in our opinion looks the best by far. Less orange peel and a better shine.

I am very happy with the Xpel on my car. Installer wrapped edges so barely visible.

Unrelated to product - car got water on it inadvertently from my sprinkler. It dried in the sun leaving terrible water spots. Used gentle high speed buffer with cleaner wax and it removed them from the Xpel.

Vivian.
I have XPEL on my GT3, done by Moe at Glistening Perfection, totally first class. I originally installed the Clearplex on windshield, and ended up removing it due to distortion and a few other issues.

I have Xpel. I love the thickness and gloss, but my car in red. In Houston, we need the extra mils of protection in my opininon.

That's what I thought! I change the wrap every 3-4 years! But I have to say the 3M that's on my 4.0 looks terrible! Will try to get Sun Tek installed on it next week! Thanks for the advice.

Not to hijack the thread but how much dust/debris do you you have trapped under your clear bra? I just noticed when washing the car I have a number of areas on the hood with this condition. Is yours totally dust free or do you have a few specs trapped as well?

That sounds like someone didn't do a very good job installing the clear bra! I get a little dirt/ dust around the edge of the clear bra that can be hard to clean but there shouldn't be anything under it!
