Default bedding brakes

is anyone bedding their brakes? Is the procedure the same for the Ferrari, which i have listed below!

Brake 16 times from 50 to 20 MPH MODREATE pedal pressure
Cycle time 10 seconds between brake applications
Drive 2+ miles to cool brakes

Brake 16 times from 75 to 20 MPH MEDIUM pedal pressure
Cycle time 15 seconds between brake applications
Drive 2+ miles to cool brakes

Brake 10 times from 80 to 20 MPH MODREATE-HEAVY pedal pressure
Cycle time 20 seconds between brake applications
Drive 2.5+ miles to cool brakes

Brake 3 times from 60 to 0 MPH FULL ABS pedal pressure
Cycle time 10 seconds between brake applications
Drive 5+ miles to cool brakes

Inspect disks to ensure there is a good/consistent Coating of pad material on the disk surface.

I personally think 16+16+10+3=45 applications is a bit excessive and an over kill.

What does Moderate/heavy mean..........different for different people, key is to apply heavy braking without locking and activating the ABS.

So personally I did 5 applications of 120km/hr to 40km/hr with heavy braking(ie didnt lock and activate ABS) and that was it for me.

I am I right I don't know, I am wrong I don't think that can be proven either.

Just my personal application.

Cheers

UAEGT3 did your breaks squeal after that? if not then I would say that's a right way

also did you break in your car or did you let her rip from the get go? Im leaning towards letting her loose right off the bat.

Mine just arrived, should be getting it by mid next week.

I let her rip right away. Took Delivery Dec 30 and was at autodrome Jan 2 with it. That also took care of the brake squeal. The car loves getting ripped. Haven't been on track since but I sense that the car keeps telling me to give her more than I can on congested public roads in Dubai. She's scheduled for track Jan 23rd, my 458 needs a work out too so 16th for her.
