Bingo....

Ferrari = supermodel. There are 10 guys tired of putting up with them.

GT3 = domestic goddess. Once you have one you will never let her go.

Gold rims look good on the scud, they were an option. My car came with them but a former owner had them painted gray. I also have a .2 GT 3, both have great trannys. The scud us definitely faster and much easier to get fast, you worry about keeping your license every time you take it out. The GT 3 has cruise control and is a pleasure to drive. They are a great combo. My scud has been trouble free and I live 8 hours from a dealer, so lucky so far.

amazing how many gt3 members also have scuds... i drove a black one last year for a few months and it's def a raw beast.... i would compare it closer to like a 996 GT3 or even a RUF 996 GT2, raw, raw and even more raw..

the Scud tries to kill you every chance it gets, loud and mean and the carbon and attention to detail makes you fall in love (or at least distract you from the "2005" gauges and electronics.... there was a logo on the dash for 2 weeks before i figured out it was low washer fluid (didn't look like anything to do with washer fluid)

gt3 is more civilized and daily drivable.. doesn't try and kill you very often and the 991 gt3 even more tame and civilized...

ultimately the scud went to a new home after trying to kill me too often... between friends 3 scud's have been owned.. all loved.. all in new homes.. the most beautiful was white and should have never left... cant even come close to replacing that car now for what it sold for... insane how cheap they have become. black one sold 180k.. much better deal than a 180k GT3RS.

having driven the 458 speciale.... i would say scud=996 or 997 GT car, and speciale is more close to the 991 GT3... good tech, great driving car, civilized but badass...

I love the Scud looks. Wanted to like the car, but just didn't enjoy the track experience with it. Scud looks and sounds better, enjoy the 7.2 GT3 for everything else.

I enjoyed 458 over Scud. Felt more solid, reliable, and better overall fit/finish. Like the Scud looks better than 458.

I have had the scud for four years and wanted a car to complement it that had three pedals. My wife and I bought our first 911 in the early 80's and she has always liked the 911. We test drove several newer P cars and they did not have the magic. I have been following this forum and decided on the .2 GT 3 ( I know this is a 991 GT 3 thread). Found one on the R list from a member, bought it and had it shipped without looking at the car or for that matter never driving or seeing a GT3 in the metal. It also has been trouble free, came CPO ed. Great car, can't wait till the thaw comes. Its also red and looks great parked next to the scud. We live in a very rural area so we drive mostly empty roads. We have yet to see another scud or gt3 around here We plan to keep these cars for the long term.
