Laptimes on a track performed on the same day/time are much more informative when comparing different cars.
But why so much concern about laptimes?? I thought the "driving experience" is more important anyways......(sarcastic jab at all those who claimed the 991 GT3 was all about laptimes and not much else).
For those of us who have one, we all know the 991 GT3 is pretty much amazing in almost all aspects......a feast for the senses when driving, a fast car in a straight line and in the corners, resulting in very decent numbers too (acceleration times, lateral g's, braking distance, and laptimes).
If it wasn't so damn low, it could be a winter car too (with winter tires).

1:27 is quick on this track for a street car. I'm sure the racers will jump in but willow probably doesn't make that much advantage of the gt3 setup as a more technical track might. it warrants horsepower, aero, *****, and good damping to soak up those bumps. put in perspective, full on race cars in the Dec POC red race qualifier had (the are classes HP/weight): gt1 1:18 gt3 1:24 gt4 1:26 The faster times in time attack were low 1:30. These are often street cars, sometimes stripped cars.

A rare video in which the reviewers commented on how the 911's low front hood is confidence-inspiring -- an often overlooked attribute.
The yellow paint looks good in the video, unlike what you see in static images on Porsche's site and elsewhere. The four point driving lights are a nod to the 918 lamps -- quite attractive.

Obvious n00b here, but 5 seconds sounds like a lot to me.
I mean if you're going at any kind of significant speed (say anything more than 60 mph), you can cover lots of asphalt in those mere 5 seconds.
Not that I'm in line for an RS, or even interested in one if offered an allocation, but just thinking out loud.
