Yeah - did you order the Track App/Sports Chrono? Might need that to get it now...

Will check if mine came with it tonight.

I have a question. I have a bit over 9,000 miles, of which about 2,000 are track miles. Do I replace the hubs and bolts now or after 6,000 track miles? hard to believe that a track only car (one extreme) would require the same maintenance as the occasional track use (another extreme). I guess I worry about track warranty if I don't follow their recommendations. Anyone knows?

6,000 miles of track use......inspect them first. Remember, this comes from 997 CL issue, it has been improved, and the non-use of slicks will help too. If you are not using slicks Sam, I assume this 6000 is the first time to inspect them.

Even my dealer laughed at the "no slicks" comment in the manual, as they expect the owners to run slicks, and if there are any issues, the owners will simply remove them before bringing it in. I told them that I assume Porsche has done testing, and knows exactly what the typical G-forces are that can be obtained with the OEM rubber. Slicks would generate a lot more G-forces (conveniently recorded for them).

With the GPS in the black box, Porsche probably already knows how many laps you have done SAM!!!

I log actual miles driven on track, and it's surprisingly little. With 6K miles replacement interval, hubs should last me years.

Thats a good idea Max. Just like when you do at home oil changes, it will be nice to have a documented track usage, with dates and miles, IF there ever was an issue and needed a warranty repair.

No slicks (I wish I could). Thanks.

I need to put something that interferes with this thing.

I don't log track miles because I never remember to set the trip counter. I do log days and my day is 2 hrs, which I once calculated to be around 120 track miles +/-

Default PCNA sent me the booklet

Just to update and close out from my view- today I received the "911 GT3 Driving on the Race Circuit" booklet. Thanks to Mike for posting the copy here. I also wanted the official book to keep with my other documentation. It took PCNA a little while to track it down. They said it was due to the book not having a separate part number. Anyway, if anyone else is missing it and wants a copy and if your dealer can't come up with it, you can call the 1-800 PORSCHE number and request one.

I'm curious, how often do you guys change oil?

Based on the manual above it would be rather infrequently whereas I'm used to changing oil every three track days (~6-7 hrs and 500 track miles) and brake fluid bleed every six track days on my previous 997.2.

Am I wasting money?

Default Oil change

I am surprised the the recommended oil change interval is 6k miles. I change mine after every 4th track day.

What do others do?
