'Riviera Blau' is a relative late comer in the long history of 'exotic' color offerings at Porsche. The earliest I have found of it was MY1994 - so calendar year 1993. Always been non-metallic, solid color. It was offered as standard, no-cost option paint & available on the 993 & 968. Back then it had a E39 paint code, which Porsche has kept on that optional PTS as it color code to this very day. So PAG believes it's same formulation. 'Riviera Blue' was offered for several years in the 1990's & then replaced as a standard solid color by 'Turquoise Blau'. I believe it was MY1996 is when it was 'dropped' from the line up and replaced by 'Turquoise Blau'!
'Riviera Blue', from my personal observations, is either the #1 or #2 most often requested PTS color at Porsche today! From day one, it was always regarded as a beautiful & desirable color to have on your Porsche!
