Why are these cars not picked up by Antares leader bound to San Diego? My dealer says my car is not on it and the antares leader only picked up Sedans and SUV. Can anyone confirm? Mine has been sitting in emden since Dec 16. This is very frustrating/

None of the schedules that I have show a ship with an arrival date to SD near 1/30.

The schedule showed: (arrival in SD)
Altair Leader - 1/14
Antares Leader - 2/11
Equuleus Leader - 2/25

Actual dates can fluctuate. Altair and Antares actually were a bit ahead of schedule. It takes about 3 weeks to make the crossing.

The latest schedule is about 2 weeks old. Things could have changed between now and then.

Thank you so much, Don. Yes, it is San Diego bound.

Hopefully it gets out of the body shop soon and to Emden.

Your Macan could be on antares leader. my dealer says its loaded with sedans and suvs. Did you check with your dealer? No GT cars on board , which doesn't make sense.

This is all pretty frustrating if my car will really be sitting at port for 6+ weeks. It looks like my delivery date will be missed by at least 2-3 weeks. Great job, Porsche.

Did you dealer confirm no change in ship date or ship assignment? are we the only ones facing this issue ? I would think there would be more cars from west coast sitting there since dec 16. Its ridiculous , cars will be sitting there from dec 16 and delivered in late feb if we really missed antares leader.

Correct, and I know several other people in CA that are waiting for a boat as well.

An SA told me that Porsche decided not to ship any more cars in December after they made their 2014 numbers (Early December). There are many, many people in the same situation as use with cars already built and sitting it seems.

Well I seemed to have finally got an answer that makes sense - maybe.

A local SA told me that VW decided to start shipping 800 cars every 3 weeks on each boat rather the former 400 cars every ten days. This changeover combined with the end of the year holiday means many cars are in limbo during the transition. He mentioned the next boat to San Diego goes out next week and should be in SD on 2/12 or so.

I hope he's right.

BTW-

He said he had a customer with a GT3 that has been sitting since 12/9 (beats my port arrival date!) and he's got all this info for him.

The unfortunate thing is that they prioritized the high volume cars that are likely just heading to dealer lots. I understand the rationale, as the GT3s are all spoken for, so they'll be sold, but the SUVs you'd want on the lot for the maximum amount of time. Still, it's frustrating that Porsche doesn't seem to treat the GT customers better, given they are likely their most dedicated customers. I don't know the numbers, but I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of GT3 owners already have a Porsche, or have owned one recently.

No matter how much you spend, seems like you're always next in line to someone or something more important. from Honda (S2000) to BMW E46 & E92 M3s) to Land Rover (RRS Autobiography) to Porsche (991 GT3), my inbound car has always managed to find it's way to the back of the line (;

hopefully someone at Porsche's reading this..

I hope porsche is reading this too. Very disappointed with this deprioritization of GT cars over SUV. From the time of completion to delivery this would be 2.5 months , totally unacceptable. I am on my 4th porsche , 3rd brand new porsche. Really disappointed. Hope it makes the next boat , but next boat is equuleus leader not leaving emden until jan 27 and arriving sd feb25.

What boat is arriving feb 11? If antares leader , we missed that one according to my dealer.

The Feb 11 scheduled arrival in SD is Antares Leader. She has already left Emden and is now docked in Zeebrugge. Next stop Southampton and then on to SD.
