Still Smokin'?

Because you say that it's "white smoke", I suspect that it isn't smoke and what you see is condensed water vapor. Roughly 12% of a gasoline engine's exhaust is water vapor. When it's cold outside, the water vapor condenses and looks like white smoke. When it's warm outside, the water vapor disperses and you don't see it. Nothing to worry about here.
Thanks guys!

Oil sometimes seeps past the horizontal cylinder's piston rings while at rest. This is not likely coming from the valve guides.

Mine still smokes after 5,000 miles. Between track days and smoke fest startups, I regularly top off the oil to get the three green bars. My suggestion - buy a case of Mobil oil.:-)

My experience over several cars is that there is less smoking once the car is broken in; my GT3 has 1,000 miles on it and it is much less frequent. It also seems to after it has been run only a short distance, even if the fluids are fully warmed up, than after it's been run hard for an extended period of time. But as a general rule, all of them do it sometimes - not something to worry about.

I know this topic has been covered in the past. If your GT3 is a smoker, has the situation improved over time/miles? At 380 miles mine blows a cloud of white smoke on cold starts. I have kept the RPMs inline with break-in guidelines and I have not had to add oil since I picked her up (currently at 2nd green bar). I know this is a normal condition. Just curious if it approves over time.
So far I have put 1,300 miles on my new GT3 it's never smoked.

First start at the dealer, pretty big plume like OMG now this ####. Drove it a bit and cleared up. Able to restart an hour later and nothing to speak of. Service manager called some tech line, they said not to worry, it would clam down as we put some miles on it. Engines sat for awhile in shipping and awaiting install.
250 miles later, big puff in the morning (not a plume) when sitting a couple days, smaller puff when driven the next day , but not a plume. Clears out right away when idling. No smoke that I can see coming from the car when driving. Will have to have someone flow me to totally verify.

All else seams beyond break-in smoke seams about normal, except a funky exhaust note on the drivers side at idle. Not very flattering. Can't recall if that is normal. I wonder if it's an exhaust leak. Anyone else hearing that.
Not sure if they swapped the whole unit complete or R&R the exhaust.
