My car went V300 on 11/4. Have buckets specced. Getting real excited for it.

I was pushed back from a 12/12 build to 1/16. Delivery at the end of March or early April.

My guess is they had plenty of buckets for cars on the line and those slated to be built this month.....it's obviously a supply issue for cars with a December and beyond build date.....

Spoke with someone higher up at Porsche. They had NO clue that the take rate would be what it is on the buckets. They have to have them for the 500-600 RS's that start production in Feb-Mar. Could this be another indicator of production ending sooner than promised. What a crazy ride this 991 GT3 has been since its inception.

Cant stop laughing at that line....seriously, do they not know their customer base ????

Mine--at last check a week ago--was V260 and still on track for 12/26 delivery (with buckets)

My guess is that when it was widely known that Buckets were available more people switched. Sometimes JIT and production planning are at odds. It is always a moving target.

Spoke with my sales person, my build went from 10/31 V210 to 11/5 V170 and all dates are currently blank / unassigned. On 10/31, dealer delivery was 1/9/15. So it appears that my build will be pushed out to a February or March delivery.

I put my initial deposit down in June of 2013. I was already at 18 months from deposit to delivery, now looking at 20 to 21 months. I am certainly disappointed that my build is being moved back.

I will try to reach Ian Moon this afternoon.

Wow! You have my sympathies.

Dan (put deposit 9/5/14, delivery 12/5/14 anticipated)

My dealer emailed me before I was even able to email him about this.

He told me that there is absolutely a delay on some of the seats. But, my car was not affected and 1/23 is still my expected date. WOOT.

He said that my car is likely to move to V210 or V220 on 11/11 which is the final freeze point.

One thing on this. Just because your car still shows original delivery date with buckets doesn't mean it won't change. I got the same email from dealer that my car might get delayed. Right now it shows it's on time but my dealer said that could change. If I end up in March it's a non starter for me. Would just shift to RS or something else.
