I have a lot of seat time in the car at all varying engine speed and in many conditons... Dont hear anyihtng that I would consider a "boom." I do love the screatching sound of the engine btw 8500-9000 rpm. That is a very distinct sound! Does anyone have a good sound clip of thie "boom?" Maybe something is up with my car.

Burning Brakes
I have just over 500 miles on mine. I thought I had a problem with the PSE; it would come on without the button being engaged and sounded different when changing gears and rpm's. I had the shop foreman and a master tech at the dealer go over it this AM. The system is fine. They explained to me that the GT3 PSE is not like any other 911 or any other Porsche car with PSE that I had ever experienced.
It is managed by the car to open by itself fully or partially. When the button is pushed to actuate the PSE the car will still adjust it . All due to the speed of the transmission and the much higher RPM capability of the car.
You want to hear the boom; floor the car in second and shift under power at 7500.

Seems like we all hear it in a different way... I also notice that the car doesn't have the exhaust overrun like the sports exhaust on the regards 991 with sport exhaust. It is an odd coincidence how they did away with on the Speciale exhaust compared to my previous 458 which made a glorious overrun burble and pop.
