White is the only color for the GT3, I know not of this metallic white of which you speak! Blasphemy! Black is also cool.......(so is red, yellow, blue, silver, agate gray and everything else)

From that thread, I think that this is the most representative difference between white and carrara white metallic... most of the time your car will be outside...both are great, but definitely different... from laying eyes on both, I think this is the best representation. The regular white on the left is creamier, with a bit more yellow in it, more traditional white...like a jug of milk... on the right, the carrara white metallic is a bit sharper, cleaner, I would say more "sterile", but that is a personal opinion... put different, I would use carnuba wax on the regular white on the left, and the carrara white metallic I think lends itself to a good synthetic like Zaino, etc.

Yeah those swatches pretty much are in line with the two Cayennes I saw. Would only add that everything is kind of relative here. When I look at the regular white I would not characterize it as creamy at all--unless compared with the CWM.

IMO: GR, Yellow, Black, White = Race Car, Metallic White = Luxury Sports Car. Both are great colors. I think it's just a matter of what look you are going for. I do like how the Porsche Metallic White does not give off a pearl effect. If it did, I would not like it for this car.

@fibredog
That´s the point, the carrara white met. has absolutely no pearl effect
.
@LAGinz
If you have live 2 cars with both colors directly next to each other, you will see that it is brighter

Paradoxically, the regular non-metallic white pops a lot more to me in real life. When I saw the metallic it just looked like a slightly grayish maybe dirty white…

Slightly off topic---but kudos to CAlexio for that thread he started last year about colors of GT3 in real life. In addition to, obviously, the performance factors, that thread was one of the things that got me most jazzed about a possible GT3 purchase. Sorry the garage thing screwed things up. I feel your pain.

Ha ha, thanks. I find that people get so verbose sometimes, that's a thread with actual pictures provides the proverbial 1000 words.
Don't worry about my garage, I haven't left the forum yet, because I'm still thinking of solutions. I realize that one easy one would be to plunk down 700 bucks a month and just rent a garage somewhere outside the city, I just want the car in my garage so I can leave the house and actually go for a drive is that too much for I meant to ask for? LOL

Better yet, talk with your landlord about "repairing the garage that prevents you from using it."
