Just not at the porschedealer website.

Yeah, the car is still in Germany. So I guess I won't show up at the Porsche dealer site for a while.

The lenders and insurance companies can't look it up until it's officially registered at the US port. I find my vin on this sight also but can't get an insurance quote yet.

I didn't finance my gt3, but I wonder how people finance their car for euro delivery, if the VIN doesn't show up.

I got a quote using my VIN long before my car even left Emden.

That is incorrect. My VIN showed-up on the website on the same day that it reached V270 status. Long before it "left the US terminals".
Actually, it hadn't even arrived at Emden yet, and it was on the website.

Well that's strange because I get nothing when I input my vin. Dealer said it will not be registered till it exits Houston ship channel. Now my lender and insurance are working off the build sheet.

Check your VIN here first, to make sure there are no typos or transposed characters:

Otherwise, I can't understand why yours would not show up on the Porsche website.

The number in section 13 shows an error. My vin has the number 8 which should designate an engine body type. What do folks have for the thirteenth digit?

My section 13 also shows an error. My VIN also has an 8 too. I also wasn't able to pull my build sheet from that website!

The link to me to the specific build sheet , but I could not change the VIN. Attempts to "go back" to try a different "build sheet" took me to sign in page requiring username and password. HELP

All,

With no intention to hijack this thread, and inasmuch that this is a VIN thread, does the GT3 have a unique VIN compared to all other 911s?

Tks/Cheers,

B
