As Andreas P said, the new motor is likely 500HP. I know of someone who dynoed and got 468 at the wheels!! I don't know the specifics but it was very well controlled dyne and racing shop. If thats so, then the motor is making well north of 500hp. This was one of the "new" engines post transplant.

I was invited to test the 991 Turbo S on track and was mightily impressed at how docile it was; Porsche have done a great job of controlling all that power/torque...

Which is why i didn't get one!!

For me, the 997 Turbo S feels faster as it is sometimes overwhelmed by all that torque and, as a result, i found more fun.

As an experience, the new GT3 trounces them both. The fact you are questioning it would suggest you perhaps don't 'get' what this car is all about..?
