Make any changes fast. I heard Porsche is sometimes locking these last GT3s earlier than estimated due to trying to finish up production. One contact told me that they had one more week until their lock date, and then the car just showed up as locked in the system. They escalated to Porsche and they said sorry, it's locked and can't be changed.

The really important date is when we catch the boat. The print outs don't always reflect up to the minute data, and our cars could be done even a few days early. My 09 C2S finished production 3days before scheduled and caught an earlier boat. I had the car a month earlier than projected! The PDI at Brunswick was done the day it arrived and they trucked it to West Palm the next morning. It's all about the boat

Put a call in to Champion this morning. R. Deacon's build is about 3 weeks ahead of mine. Hoping we both get pushed up so we can track together in the Xmas season!

I just a put a call into my dealer yesterday's order. The PCM box wasn't checked but the sound system plus box was checked. I assume if I can't get this fixed I'll have no Nav. Strange, if you select PCM it requires Sound Plus. However, if you select Sound Plus it doesn't trigger PCM.

I'm going to be the kid in class who wasn't paying attention and gets yelled at when he asks an obvious question, but...here goes:

Does "production will be over after December" mean that the factory goes on winter break, and then 2015 production resumes in the spring? Or does it mean that 2015 991 GT3 production is finished, period? If so, does that mean that the rest of us have to wait for the 991.2 GT3 in a couple of years?

I got the 18 way and I agree with your reasoning that I was moved up to make a slot for someone ordering the bucket seats. My understanding is that the buckets won't be available until early Nov production.
