Default Is it just me?

Or does it seem like there a lot more GT3s on the used market compared to 2 weeks ago. I had some time to kill at work and thought I'd check to see if any good deals could be found on Ebay, and I was quite shocked by the number of GT3s listed. From a rough estimate it seemed like I found at least 6 on Ebay alone (haven't checked other sites) and I've been noticing more frequent threads of allocations of GT3s being available. Is this because many owners are trading for a 2015 allocation, or getting ready for the RS? At this rate I think the prices of GT3s will be steadily coming down in the near future, thoughts?

Several lemon law buy back cars and I know several owners who are selling 14's to get 15's with the carbon sport buckets… myself included.

Exactly. They will dry up pretty quick.

It's not just you. There are a) tons of 14 gt3s available, and b) tons of 15 allocations available.

I am not sure where all the hype comes from about difficulty in getting one of these. I would love to know true 14 and 15 production numbers. There are actually more 991 gt3s on the market than 997.2 gt3s, based on my informal review on eBay and autotrader.

I guess we should now ask for discounts on our ordered '15 GT3's.

What's crazy is all these listings are asking for MSRP or above on a 14 when you can still got a 15 spot for msrp.

I may have to jump on a 15 spot

Tons of 15 allocations available? I'm curious about your source of information. My dealer gets a healthy allocation of 2015 GT3s. Those remaining on the list won't get one -- one had to go out of state to secure a unit.

go to rennlist, water cooled, gt3 forum, then click on search, then advanced search, then type in title the word "allocation" and press search. not trying to be a smart ***, I'm serious.

There are not many 15 allocations left at all.

There are not tons of any thing. Incorrect info. Yes- you can find a 2014 and maybe a 2015 but those are starting to disappear. And - some of the 2014s will have marked titles. My dealer, which is no slouch with their percentage of market share, are all sold out. And they would be more than willing to take your GT3 because they can sell t quickly. Give it another 6 months and then reality will set in.

Also - there will always be a bunch of cars listed but most are already spoken for.

I can hear it now - "The GT3 is a cursed car- The market is flooded with GT3s just sitting in stock and no buyers"

Guys, really, you can go back and read the history of everyone saying there were no more 2014 allocations, then there were more. Then, 2015 allocations, none of them, then there were more. Maybe for the 918 or RS models, this actually happens, but my experience with the 996, 997, and now, 991 gt3 cars is that they sell as many as they can, right up until when production ends.

I can give you the name of two dealers within 50 miles of Baltimore that
have a total of "3" 2015 allocations and no one to give them to.
PM me if you are interested.

I agree with msullivan. there was a lot of hype about scarcity but turned out everyone got an allocation. As of yday, it appears there are '15 allocations at Sonnen in SF, Beverly hills and Rusnak in LA, and one in Vegas. Just from my perusal of the forum, no "research", as I have an allocation already.

Some allocations remain, but they are drying up fast. One month from now, there will be no more 2015 allocations and those 2014s will start selling, as it becomes clear that all the 2015 allocations are spoken for and that Porsche doesn't plan to produce new GT3s for 18 months.
