I am wondering hom many ppl gona change their GT3 s orange side light to clear.

I have ordered a jet black GT3.
For me , those orange side light look ugly on black cars.

So I asked my sales about the clear side light.
And he said I need to buy it somewhere and change it by myself .. *@!# ..

Then I search on ebay , there s a OEM clear side light for 991 GT3.
Looks good on pic , but I try to get a orignal one from Porsche.

If someone here already changed one or gona change it , please share some exp and info.

They look real easy to change out too according to suncoast's install video. Clear side marks are a no brainer. DOT orange sux.

That's the first mod every GT3 should do. I installed it and it does look great. Most folks don't know this but the "clear LED" upgrades are clear in inactive mode. Once the markers are turned on, an orange light will show.

 

I actually bought mine back in January, the day after I put my name on my dealer's waiting list!

 

My dealer changed then to clear LEDs before I took delivery.

 

When I purchased my 991S the sides were clear, and i also had clear rear tails lights. Looks like the dealer installed clear sides to match the rears?

 

My dealer does this by default for no charge on every 911 that is delivered, they know it looks terrible. The only time they ask people is if they order an Orange PTS car.

I think you should try getting your dealer to throw it in.
