If not planning on heavy track use, go PCCB. The car is already too plush. Take the GT3 options that add performance

PCCB > Leather, but you could skip either and still have a great car.

I got both, but I'm not very budget minded and found a huge difference in reducing unsprung weight in the past. Last time I did it, it cost me $8k for a set of wheels that saved 3 lbs/corner, so it's really in the same sort of delta.

PCCB.

Less (no?) brake dust.

Also, in a GT3, personally, I think would almost prefer no leather.

Wow, this is a very interesting topic. I think we all need to know everyone has the right answer, but it's a reason Porsche made a lot of options. Some choose all of them, and some choose what they need. But nothing wrong with a mixture of both I would say. If the car is going to be a 100% track weapon get it bone stripped, and no need for PTS as who cars to drive a smurf blue car .........I'm just saying because we all will have an opinion. Lesson learned never ask what you should by(:

My vote is still for the leather as they lady of the house my want to have date night in a nice looking cabin. Honestly brake dusk does not bother me, and I enjoy washing my cars so big deal. Good luck with you selection, and by the way I would never spend 9k hoping for good resale it's a car and nothing more.

Well judging from the many posters who have given their respective weight, a lot of us could benefit from dropping some weight from the seat of the pants(a**). Save the cash and join a gym.

If you are even considering PCCB...then yes there really isn't any question about this if you must choose between the upgrade leather vs PCCB, go with PCCB.

This. I'd rather see you do iron brakes and pocket the 9k then spend it on more leather and stitching. Standard brakes are plenty. And the interior has all the luxury you will want. Look behind you, no back seats and a wing, it's race car :-)

this is awesome feedback so far, and i really do value each of your points of view.

one thing i wanted to ask you guys was your thoughts on longevity of the dash with or without leather. this may ultimately open the door wide open for speculative answers, but does anyone know if a leather dash is less likely to dry/crack etc than the stock plastic dash?

just thinking about my future grandkids 30-40 years from now. [yes, i just caught myself wondering why i am thinking that far out, but has that crossed anyone's mind?]

I struggled for ages on the exact same decision. And went with neither.

But now I've lived with the car for 9,000 kms i can give you a definitive answer. Get the PCCBs.

Reason is that although the car is 100% awesome I'm constantly pained by the fact that I could have slightly better handling and steering feel.

I wish there were an objective test to answer whether that would be true or not.

As for the leather, I had it on the loaner Boxter and when I first got the plastic GT3 the interior felt like a step down and I regretted that too. But having lived with it I actually prefer the plastic. The simplicity reminds me I'm in a sports car.

Leather>PCCB. Not really a fan of the non-leather interior nor the faux carbon fiber trim above. Full Leather for me unless the car was primaily used for the track with minimal street use. I can take or leave red stitch, although I like with certain interiors.

PCCBs are what they are, fantastic performance on paper, real world less so, but have definitive advantages, no brake dust is wonderful and big win in the the size department. Return on investment will be very poor if that's' a consideration. That said, I may still get them, but unlikely. Either way, I'll have full leather.

I could see skipping other interior options in favor of PCCBs, just not the leather package.
