I heard the Dunlops are better because they add better grip when wet. I forgot where I read this a couple months ago.

I have run Dunlop Race MAXX tires on my C63 Renntech , they have 80 compound, compared to 180 on Sport Cup 2s, and stick like glue to the pavement. But tread wear is 1/2! Also, they are a dealer installed option for the 991 Turbo S. Motor Trend BDC used the Dunlop Race MAXX on the Turbo S.
Car and Driver' s Lighting Lap Of VIR used Pirelli's, but mention they wanted to run Race MAXX tire but none were in stock.
I already ditched my stock Pirelli's for Sport Cup 2s.

We originally heard it was the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race, not sure if that's still the case. I've used them on both the 997 and Cayman. Excellent tire for the road, with good grip, precise feel, fine in rain, and not noisy. On track, good tire up to about 8/10ths, but beyond that they can't handle the abuse and don't last long. I had to junk several of them due to premature cording and would not get them again for track use.

Any idea how the MPSC2 compares to R888 on the track (in the dry)?
