What's the fascination with white?

Had there been a purple... It would have been mine.. Alas.. I realized it was actually a nasty brown... Whoever chooses the color options for the gt3 should be shot execution style.
Sorry; that was harsh. White is very special, and with the right accents like tinted windows becomes amazing. But there are just so many now that It's really not an option anymore.
I chose jet black because of this scene in a movie I saw as a kid... Which clearly stuck with me
these cars are plain black... Which does tend to hide all of the details.. Jet black however, contrasts well, and fulfills all my Condorman villain fantasies.. Who knows, I may even get silver mirror windows and windshid to complete the look. He he he

I wasn't a fan of all the other standard colors, so white was safest to me.
My past three out of four previous cars were white as well. Guess it's my backup color. Note that 2 of the cars were special ordered in white, lol.

White gets my vote and order by default because all the other colors are less than exciting.
The colors I would order before White in no particular order:
Blood Orange / Tangerine
Purple
Green
Light Blue (Riviera/Mexico/Turquoise/Pure)
Medium Blue (Maritime/Adriatic/Voodoo/Arrow)
Oh and a better yellow than Racing Yellow. I like Speed Yellow and Signal Yellow immeasurably more.

well, the question is whether you want to hide the awkward rear wing (darker colors) or emphasize it (white). porsche probably calls it a design icon, for me it is one of the main issues that keeps me on the fence. no matter on the track but as a road car it has a suburban bodyshop feeling. nevertheless IMHO the GT3 looks best in white, just make a statement out of that wing and refer to GT3 history::))

How funny that's the same movie that got me into 911s. If I remember correctly the baddie boss had a flatnose (is that a 935?).
I'm 41 years old. UK lead Michael Crawford!
But I still chose white. HAHAHAAAA!

I am not a fan of white exteriors when it comes to cars, but I just can't escape ordering GT3 in white despite how many do the same? White just accents all the unique design elements on GT3 vs normal 991. The front bumper grills, front hood slot, front spoiler, rear wing, and rear end treatment all stand out and in my opinion gravitate your eyes to these differences. Of course if you own a business that you want to advertise for on GT3 while on track the stickers/logos typically show better against the white also.

I might give up some lap time to go non white with the Techno wonder RS that may be as fast as yesterday's CUP cars but shares no parts with the race thing we see on TV...
Red is a great color to not see the yellowing of the clear bra!
Maybe dark blue than?
Still...........

RLs:
As of September 24, 2014, straight from Porsche AG, is the current break-down of all 2015 991 GT3, exterior color rates:
I would agree that 60% or more of all GT3 models ever built, are in fact white; however, I was surprised to see the current breakdown concerning the 2015 991 GT3...
White: 25.4%
Black: 21%
Carrara White Metallic: 10.5%
Agate Gray Met: 9.4%
Jet Blk Met: 7.2%
Guards Red: 6.1%
GT Silver Met: 6.1%
Sapphire Blue Met: 5.5%
Rhodium Silver Met: 3.3%
Racing Yellow: 2.8%
Dark Blue Met: 2.8%
In the end, I went with Guards Red. White was a close second. My third choice was Sapphire.
Cheers/BB
