Default Carbon Door Sills - Picture?

I don't care for the 90 degree pattern of the Porsche Carbon Fiber dash trim. Can someone post a picture of the optional Carbon Door sills that's close enough to see the direction of the weave?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Yep, saw it yeaterday and looks like a pattern on a sport coat, doesn't look like cf at all. Thought it would be an option to spec but really doesn't look nice

Agree with Alexio.

I love the idea of carbon fiber for the GT3, but I don't like the pattern of carbon fiber that Porsche uses.
Sadly, other high end sports cars do it with a better look of carbon fiber than Porsche.

At least that fact saved me a lot of money on my GT3 build.

Forgot to mention that I asked at dealer ab whether they had bothered to make weave same as that on seats and the answer was a shrug of the shoulders. As the seats are made of carbon reinforced plastic, and probably from a different manufacturer, I would venture to guess that the weaves would definitely be different; and therefore a further reason why it's not worth it for me to get carbon to match seats.

I am going to disagree but to each their own. I think the CF looks great. I did every Carbon option they had and darn glad I did. Really looks great with the red stitching. Just makes the whole interior look richer.

But not for everybody

Thanks Jimmy. My spec has the stardard interior with carbon fiber trim, the sport bucket seats and the carbon fiber sills. If the pattern is off on the sills, I expect that the doors won't be open long enough to notice.

I just don't know how you can do the carbon fiber reinforced seatbacks on the buckets and not do CF trim inside. I am guessing it wont match perfectly. But I am also guessing it will match more than bright aluminum or the anthracite brushed aluminum? I would actually prefer not to spec it, but with sport buckets I think it will match the best.

From the 918 interior pictures, the weave will not even be close to matching the dash trim. It's a larger, coarser fabric.

Note that the 918 dash carbon fiber doesn't look like the 911 trim either, it matches the seats.

I'm going Lightweight Bucket Seats and standard dash/door trim.

I love the carbon bits - think they look great - but you should go see them at a dealership and decide - best to see in person.
