I have a friend in Atlanta interested in finding an allocation. I know there have been some threads in the past, but many of those are now stale. Mind posting or PM'ing me w/ any know allocations available at or near MSRP?

I'm not quite ready to turn in my Carrera GTS yet....is the GT3 not going to be available to order or buy fall of 2015?
If so...so Porsche built a few GT3 then had to recall them with the engine issue and then just released a few more for Dec 2014-Jan 2015...then that is it...no more GT3? Seems like a very short sales cycle.
I know the RS version will be out but rumors are it will be priced out of some like my price range.

^You nailed it. Short run. Nobody knows why but I think the ~ 2 months of production they lost is what hurt them. I think they will make as many as they can thru Dec and then move on to the RS and other projects. Does not mean it was a failure. The car is that good. May be a big loss on their 2014 financials.

Porsche's 2013 operating profit was 2.6 billion Euros, or about $3.7 billion. Even a $100 million dollar loss would represent only 2.7% on the bottom line and in all likelihood it's much less than that. Chump change....

There is no way it costs porsche $55k to produce an engine. Probably $10k is closer to the real number. The development has already been finished. What they charge is a far different story.
