My Turn

All I can say is HOLY CRAP!
This GT3 is by far the nicest car I have driven. My experience with cars at this level is far more limited than most on here, but I can't imagine a level higher, so I'll leave it at that. Amazingly, it was also the first GT3 I've seen in person. What everyone says is true...pics don't do it justice.
My drive home was remarkable. Do a search on Mt Rose highway Rt 431. It climbs to a choking 9000 + feet. The views are amazing. Unfortunately, I was so wrapped up in the car, I didn't take any pics until I got home.
For those looking to compare the GT3 to the CarreraS, they are so different, you can't. The PDK-S is remarkable in every way. The shift speed and precision are stunning. You totally get the feel of feathering the throttle from a standstill.....then blap, blap, blap, you are hauling! It amazed me how different the two are. I put 2600 miles on my CS loaner, so I got to know that car intimately. While it was very nice, it is no where near the level of the GT 3.
The steering, oh man, so solid and precise...just remarkable. It feels subtly heavy, yet quick if that makes sense.
I played with the suspension setting and have to agree with everyone else..sport mode is for a smooth track.
The exhaust sound is wonderful. It is extremely addictive, and I have no hope at all in maintaining the break in engine speed. I can't tell you how many people turned their heads in amazement (probably annoyance) as I drove by.
On the interior, the fit and finish is excellent. I have the full leather, red stitching and carbon. It looks very sporty and classy. I got many compliments at the dealer from both sales staff and stray customers.
Most of what I have to say, you've heard before, but it is all true. Such an incredible machine. I am taking off tomorrow to drive through the Sierra. I'll make a point to capture some unique shots.
She's home now, with her older buddies. I got my new 911 on a bitter-sweet date of the same name. I look at it as a positive reflection of overcoming a tragic date. Enjoy this car everyone, as stated by many a car review.....the new GT3 is very special indeed!
