Pulled the Trigger - I'm back in
Following up to my previous thread - Thought about all the things that enamored me with the GT3, watched the videos again and did the math - concluded it's a no brainer. I'm back in folks - car arrives in a month. Built to my original spec. Can't frickin wait. I'll miss my 991S dearly, but it's a whole new level. And in the unlikely event I want to go back to an S, it will be a very easy transition.

I now have roughly 400 miles. Have been unable to dirve it during the week so reason for lack of miles. Put 50 miles on her this morning. Dare I say - this car is freakin fast. I am almost done breaking her in. Have not surpassed 7000 rpms but we are almost finished with that restraint. I will say this; I though my 207 997.2 Turbo with a full FVD sport exhaust was fast but this thing will take it - no doubt. Figure this car is Turbo fast with more of an analog experience if that makes any sense. No lag, no extra all-when weight, and a screaming 9000 rpm animal that just makes people stop and gawk. I am not one for embellishment but every time I drive her I like her even more. Plus, I can definitely tell it is more alive now at 400 miles than the first 100.

I have not. I had a slot back in 2010/11 but late 2009 when I want to sell my Cayman S for the money I found at the same time a 2007 Turbo with 700 miles in red w/ full carbon package and center console and seat back factory painted GR. Still have a place in my heart for her.

Thanks guys. Now that I'm past the decision point i feel awesome. And wait for word that it's on a boat. Looked at the vw logistics web site. Two boats leave Emden around the 18th and go to Brunswick. I think kencollinsjr and I may be shipmates. Anyone else??
Anyone up for road atlanta on 11/22??
