Default How much would a set of new steel brakes sell for?

I'm somewhat interested in ceramics but don't want to order the PCCB because of concerns about durability (and don't want yellow calipers). How much could I sell my brand new steel brakes for if I decided to buy an aftermarket ceramic kit?

Not what you are asking but I would keep the original brakes for the next owner. Not everyone likes/wants aftermarket stuff.

It's a keeper for me so I am not really worried about the next owner.

Well, a rear set is $980 at Suncoast and the fronts are $1100. I imagine a set of take-offs would sell for a bit less.

I was thinking about selling everything, including calipers. I didn't see pricing on a complete GT3 standard brake kit, so I was trying to gauge value.

The resale value wouldn't be enough to make much of a dent in the price of something like the Movit full brake kit if that's what you're considering. Better just to keep them so you can put them back on when you sell that car.

I doubt the calipers will be easy to sell. They are the new design that you have to remove to change pads. So, even if they fit other models, there will be no incentive to change.

If just the new rotors are around $2K, I was thinking that maybe $4-5K for the full set close to unused (pulled right off the new car when delivered) would be possible. Maybe that's not reasonable. I really don't know. Again, not planing on selling the GT3 so I wouldn't need the brakes again. I tend to find a car I like and keep it, my current Boxster Spyder being the only exception (always wanted a 911, the BS just couldn't scratch the itch).

I think this is right. Rotors you can sell to a GT3 owner as their a consumable, but I can't think of a natural buyer for the calipers.

Maybe someone going from 20" to 19" on a 911 for the track is about it? But if you're changing the brake/wheel size, it makes a lot more sense to get to 18" for tire choices, cost and unsprung weight savings.

I was thinking of replacing my PCCBs with steel to use on the track - my dealer quoted about $10K for steels mounted replacing calipers, rotors and pads. Not sure about brake lines.

This. I'm glad I did- all my cars have been forever cars- ave ownership- 3.5 years. I've saved thousands putting all my cars back to stock and reselling the performance bits- you are miles ahead this way. Nobody will give you a nickle more for performance parts when it comes time for resale especialy Movit brakes.
