Thanks for the correction... Frustrating to have people offer something as fact, only for it to be invalidated by more careful contributors... Experienced a few times.. So much better to present something as an opinion or a question when you're not sure. Well, I'm left confused now.. I never thought of basalt black as having a blueish hue.. And now still wondering what jet black aftually looks like.

I've found pics of a few '15 991 in this color on Autotrader but I think it's hard to photograph any type of black paint. I have been planning to order in this color but may just stop by my local dealership to see it in person on another car before my build locks.
The black GT3 on Auto Gespot was photographed in Monaco on Aug 22 and Sept 3. Given that the factory was down for the month of August, I'm not sure that a Jet Black 2015 GT3 could have made it to Monaco by Aug 22 unless they were building 2015 GT3s in July.
