Default completely random diversion: CF crash test

For those of us still waiting: an interesting crash test showing a slow motion encounter of concrete versus carbon fibre.

Default CF

Very cool to see but I wonder what would happen if a CF car gets T-boned? My guess is CF shards would go into the cabin. I would assume they have checks for that as well. Speaking of CF cars, I saw the i8 yesterday (just a shell to scale, not a real operable car) and it is gorgeous.

Sam -- I saw one of the media cars cruising in LA, on Wilshire Blvd. a few weeks ago. Looks positively out of this world, truly like a car from the future. Hard to believe it's going to production form looking that much like a concept car!

I know, it's unreal. Their launch has been delayed to end of year (instead of now). I wonder of they are catching fire too! I'm not sure which is the best i8 forum but it may be best to just stay way for now!

I also like how they integrate the mandatory rear bumper reflector into the reverse light. Looks intentional, unlike most other cars, including thee 991 series, unfortunately.

That's what happens when a metal car rear-ends a CF one.
