If you can, I'd keep it. I have a hard time selling cars I enjoy. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy a 997 Gt3. Heck I haven't been able to comprehend selling my 964 C4 or my 996TT, so it just may be me. I think the value, if that is your concern, will always be high for those late generation manual GT3s. I'd hold out.

Yes Tim, sold it back to the dealer. Had the car for two yr's, put 7K miles on it and sold it for $5K less than what I paid. I am sure I could have done better if I sold it myself but it was hassle free. I don't like going into garage anymore.

If you can, hang onto it. When I look back, I feel stupid for selling my 993 Turbo. Even my 964 Turbo which was a POS to drive, I wish I had kept it for garage art. In 10-20 years, cars will drive us around on semi-automated highways, enjoy this era while you can. If you think I'm being too aggressive on the timing, could anyone have imagined what the internet was going to do for us back in the 1990's? That was only 20 years ago.

I dont think prices will fall anytime soon if anything i see pristine models holding their values.

Hold on to your car if you can.

Ok so now I have confirmed an October build date .....So I guess I'll get serious about selling my beloved 3 7.1

I don't really want to blast all over the place because of all the oglers .
What would be the best way to get exposure and still keep it under control with real buyers ?

If you have a new GT3 incoming, sell your 997 ASAP. Prices are great right now for selling, and with the 991 RS coming out you never know what it will do to values (if it's desirable enough, a lot of 997s will flood the market).

Post it on Rennlist, 6speedonline, etc. You should get real leads that way. If you post it on Autotrader etc, plan on getting a lot of junk contact ("we can help you sell your car!"). That said, I sold a modified 997 Turbo on Autotrader, so those kind of buyers are out there.
