Is this 2014 GT3 really for sale?

You mean he bought one from the dealer? Was it on consignment to the dealer or was it from dealer stock? And, if so, is he eligible for any comp other than the extra warranty? Did he pay MSRP?

I was lucky. I bought one that was ordered as an inventory unit and is still in port. Got it for MSRP. I get no comp, just the extra warranty. Will be ready to roll in early August.

For sure there has to be someone actually willing to buy at that price but still it puts a small crimp in the depreciation/engine concern argument.....

Honestly, I think the 2014's once all said and done will be collectors cars because of the engine deal that shut down production. It will have a story behind the 991 GT3 granted they end up being fantastic cars. Hell my MSRP landed at 150k so I can sell it for 200k(:

Haha - so true - my plan is to not ever sell mine. It is going to be very exclusive, to be sure, and there is nothing else anywhere near this price point that compares.

^ I believe all said and done, whether a 2014 or 15 these cars will be highly sort after. That type of performance, price, with limited availability will do that.
Now, if there truly is a GT4 with 400 plus hp and a manual I would probably make the trade in a couple years. I have owned a 2007 Cayman S and a Turbo and I was stated the Cayman was more fun to drive except that it lacked the power. Its platform is just superior and with the engine right behind your head the exhaust sounds sublime.
