It´s called Nordic capitalism. My own simplified version of it goes like this:
In every town there is a large jar in the center of the city. For every financial transaction that is being made you have to put x amount of the transferred money into the jar. There are a team of people managing the jar, and let´s say that someone needs something and they can´t afford it. They go to jar and ask for some money. It could be anything, maybe some Vino that thinks he´s a woman trapped in a mans body or something. After pointing out his needs, he gets some money from the jar to go and have a surgery to transform his man parts into lady parts.

I'm Swedish and really appreciate that the Swedish government kept taxes down on cars and not followed the trend of the other Scandinavian countries. Fuel is heavily taxed anyway so if you drive a thirsty car you still get penalized! Feel sorry for our neighbors that get hammered both when u buy the car and then when u drive it!

You're not the only one, living in a country with insaine taxes on cars :-)
The GT3 in Denmark cost around 3 million DKK // 552.170,95 $ + options... The local Porsche Dealership has a brand new GT3 with carbon ceramic brakes, clubsport package etc for sale at 3.525.477 DKK // 648.888,66 $
The listed trackday price on 1.285.467 DKK is without taxes, so you can only drive it on tracks, not in public.
And just to mention our fuel price, it's around 2,50 $ pr. litre

If you buy the car without taxes (On the picture, listed as "trackday price" you can't drive it in public, it's not even registrered :-)
You can of course drive the car fully legal on the road, if you buy the car for the full asking price with taxes :-) Or you can use a danish term called "flexleasing" but even by that, you still have to buy the car without taxes and still pay a monthly fee of at least 5000$ for licence plates the 6-8 month a year, you will properbly use it :-)

Oh, late nineties the good old days Back then we had a fixed purschase tax of 29%. Now it´s 5% for zero CO2 cars and up to 50% for cars above 300g of CO2 or something like that. Sweden, as a country who has their own automobile industry has 0% purchase tax for cars but in Norway and Denmark there is the same kind of system as we have.

The car arrived at the dealership today. Talked to their main mechanic and he told me that he´s sure it will be ready for delivery in a month. New car smell
