Default GT3 Rear Wing

Guys, just wondering if there is such a thing as an after market rear wing for the GT3 that is smaller while not upsetting the aerodynamic balance? I never liked big spoilers.

That's akin to asking a guy to lessen the size of his ***k ... seriously, you need to augment your downforce at speed, not impair/lessen it. If you want to track your car, which is where the GT3 shines, you need this downforce from the wing ...

The design of the uprights is integrated with the air scoop and trunk lid.

Blasphemer. ban him. just kidding

But don't believe the auto aftermarket ever makes things 'smaller', usually people want things larger or more.

Fair question. Unfortunately in most countries we can't legally achieve speeds high enough to bring the aero that is there into play unless we go to the track, and the spoiler is admittedly pretty visually loud/ extroverted.

If you are getting to the speed where aero is an issue (maybe ~80 mph+) you can't maintain the aero balance with nothing in back. I suspect with the correct custom ducktail you could get enough rear downforce but with higher drag, if you'd prefer that look. The other option would be to do something custom and less aggressive in addition to pulling the front splitter- the last thing you want is more front downforce than rear, as it will make the car unstable at speed.

I'm unaware of any aftermarket company working in this direction, but you might be able to convince someone competent if you're serious. A ducktail GT3 would be kinda cool.

I like this blend of subtlety, yet motorsports-looking uprights, on the Audi TT Quattro Sport Concept:
