4 vs 18 way seats
#46
The lwbs backs are pretty upright, great seating position for racing but not so great for daily driving or long trips, some people do daily drive with them though. They are also not the easiest to get in and out of. The 4ways recline and also you can flip the backs forward to gain access to the rear if needed. It's really just a personal preference, you have to sit in the lwbs to decide. If I was going to be tracking my car a lot, it would be a no brainer.

I'm new to the LWBs and don't have enough seat time yet to provide any real opinions, but I will say that the seat bottoms and backs are more comfortable and supportive than I expected. They are not the wooden boards I feared they might be. Still, truth be told, at the moment with the little seat time I have in the LWBs, I think I prefer the 4ways. That could easily change when I get more time in the other car.

this is crazy, i just drove a gt3rs with buckets and the back angle is perfect, but my hips are extremely tight (i don't have a large @ss,lol) and after 5 miles it was digging into my sides but no other issues. then sat in a 4 way, and a 14 way in a 991s. if the 14 way is the same as the 18 way, i will get the `18 ways, will have to sit in 18 ways,
for some reason, the dealer did not have any 911's with 18 way seats, is it a turbo or gt car only thing?

18 ways are 3400 or something so we only order them on a certain % of cars. Try to get by without making cars too expensive in the configurator otherwise customers complain and haggle too much!

Not sure what you are asking. The bolsters are adjustable on the 18 way sport seat plus and fixed on the 4 way sport seat plus.
Go to the dealer (one that has all types of seats) and try them out. I was like "I would like a Porsche." "Do you want a test drive?" "No, but I would like to sit in some various seats...."

Having owned both, based on my recollection, I'd say they were identical in size/shape, with the only difference being adjustability. Now the 14way or the plain 4way seat does have lower bolstering on the bottom seat cushion. But the 18way and 4way SS+ have the same, I believe. I believe...
