Sam, Great pics. Can you please comment on camber and tire wear across the tires. Also, how did you decide on settings? I had mine on the track today but didn't go past 5000 RPM. Only 42 mile at start. Thanks for your postings, very informative. Allan

Congrats on your car! I tracked it with stock alignment and the outside shoulders got beat up after one session (I drive hard and to my limit), indicating the need for a lot more negative camber. My mechanic, who races a spec Boxster and is the one who works on all the GT3/RS cars at the dealership, made those recommendations. The tires are now wearing much more evenly. I had my pyrometer ready in the pits and was going to check today, until I got this "reduced engine performance" issue, which made me slow down and tires weren't at the correct temp so I didn't check. Visually, I think the fronts and rears can take another half a degree. Since I can't add anymore to the front, I will likely add half a degree to the rear, which will make the car understeer more, so at the same time, I will loosen the front sway bar. It will be trial and error to get to the right setting.

Sam, Thank you very much for the info. I will be talking with Goldcrest Motorsports (maintain my Cup) to find out what they think and i'll post what we come up with. Are you going to COTA? I plan to be there with the GT3. Thanks again, Allan

How do you install a trailing hook on the back of the car?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

You have to remove the license plate to access the mounting point.

Thanks.
This is a difference with the Euro cars, where the plate can't easily be removed.

They had to have a new sensor overnighted, should arrive today (hopefully). Instead of having the car sit there doing nothing, I asked him to set the front sway bar to the softest setting (the rear already on firmest) to decrease understeer. This will likely add oversteer so we are going to increase rear camber to -2.5 (front has -3.1). If my theory sticks, the car should be glued to the track (pun intended). Going to MSR Saturday, the 1.3 track so should be able to see if this is a better setup or not.

thats great Sam. are you running stock tires? any consideration in going wider on the fronts?
Im toying w/ the idea myself going from 235 to 245's but it still may not be enough to help the understeer. I gotta talk to JG.
tks

I put 245 (or more, don't recall) on the C4S but it didn't help. Probably because I increased the rears to 325 at the same time. I have little understeer now and am thinking it'll almost go away with the new setup. If not, will take away a little camber from rears. Yes, still running the SC2.
