Default Aftermarket wheel options for 991 GT3

Just wanted to start a thread for aftermarket wheel options for 991 GT3

I'll start.

My friend Naohiko-San 991 GT3 at TAS 2014 with 21" Agio wheels.

Not a fan of big wheels if my 991 GT3, (would rather put 19" wheels, stock are 20") but these look good.

Yep, I can't imagine any aftermarket wheels which don't seem like a downgrade from stock. Not to mention possible weight increase and handling differences with bigger aftermarket wheels. stock ones are beautiful

not an owner (yet) but have to agree....the stock wheels look great - but after market "stuff" will always interest a lot of people

I'm a big fan of aftermarket wheels.. but strangely not on the 991 gt3. I think the stock wheels are beautiful and given the nature of this car, seems like you wouldn't want to and shouldn't make a change.

Aftermarket wheels are good for the turbos though

The stock 991 GT3 wheels do look beautiful just like the 997 GT3 stock wheels looked beautiful also.

But most track guys will inevitably change stock wheels to different lighter wheels..... IT'S A FACT

Like I said I wouldn't go larger than stock, and 19" would be ideal.

The 991 CUP has 18" wheels. My friend tried to do 18" wheels on this stock 991 GT3 but couldnt. He said you needed to change to CUP arm and knuckle. 19" you can do though.

Just started this thread so that we can have a resource and see the different shoes people are using.

MOOTY: yessir BBS and RAYS wheels and OZ are IMHO the best wheel manufacturers out there and are race proven.

Hopefully they will come out with some nice wheel options for the 991 GT3

The rims for the RS were 23/29 lbs. These 991 versions are supposed to be even lighter. My OZ rims were 18lbs so there might be some margin to improve, but I don't expect it'd be more than 3 or 4 lbs and God forbid you hit a curb.

That's just because the only pictures we're currently seeing are with the stock rims. As soon as someone posts some really nice aftermarkets, we'll all be going "oooooooooHHHHHH!"
