My dealer laughs at installing a bypass exhaust. It has never been an issue. They install way more invasive mods than that...

But then again, that's why my dealer is awesome...

oh my…. that is nice. The higher RPM 991 motor with those PDK shifts sound like cross between a Cup car and a WRC car.
I could do that all day long in that car.

Mine should be here today or tomorrow! But I will say the sound of the existing exhaust is not too bad at all

To Sharkwerks and OP:

This mod bypasses the central exhaust - is this just because that's the easiest thing to do?

My understanding was on the 997, the more complete solution was to remove the side exhausts and thus bypass those and save some weight and heat at the rear-end. Is that something that something that's coming from Sharkwerks for the 991?

Is there any drone at low RPM?

Thx, loking forward to more sound!

We do not bypass the sides on the 997 or the 991. It's just a lot louder, you lose control over the sport valves (so you are unable to control the high/low volume of the exhaust) and I personally do not think it sounds as good as the center bypass with stock side mufflers. We do not plan to sell a side muffler bypass.

If you're looking to save a lot of weight and want a loud exhaust system, we sell this system for the 991 GT3 also:

Gotcha If anyone wants to order the bypass for 991 GT3, you can actually use the old link here:
http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=153

We are modifying the design to fit the 991 based on the feedback we've received and will be shipping these in week 2 of February. Thanks to all the early testers
