But it does have an impact on time to sell. Tempted to go yellow but I would be selling after 3-4 years so concerned about the time it would take to sell.

Did you see the pics of the brown one with black wheels and black headlights on pistonheads forum? Gorgeous, simply gorgeous. I'm taking a look down downstairs to see if I have the cojones to order the same hue

This is tough, most of my 911's have been black. But, I currently have a black turbo. So it's red for me. I have a black fiat now but I had a red F430 for four years it always looked great to me.

The only problem I have with the 'special colors' (aka the $3k colors) is that only GT silver and lime gold are truly special. The others - anthracite brown and amaranth red - are standard colors on the regular 911, Cayman and Boxster models.

I was considering amaranth red until I saw 4 or 5 cars on the lot in the same color - nothing 'special' about it. Plus, it has a somewhat brown tint in the shade or low light, not as nice as ruby red was.

If you want a really rare color car, go for the lime gold if you dare. Otherwise, I don't think any color will help resale value. Or significantly detract from it either. So, just get what you like - don't order it to please the second owner. A GT3 in any color should be relatively easy to sell.
