Default Six prototype 918s in Monaco

Observe on the white Martini livery 918 how yellow-brown the paint has gotten because of exhaust fumes from the enormous exhaust tips. I wonder what Porsche is going to do about that...

Similar to how they dealt with center locks on 997 I suspect. Post-sale maintenance supplement requiring owners to repaint car every 5k miles - owner's expense, of course. This is Porsche after all.....

Porsche's previous super car, the CGT, had known yellowing of the carbon fiber roof but P really didnt care.

I think P's logic is that the buyers will never put any miles on these cars so why bother.

well, the 918 has flopped everywhere else, so, last ditch effort, monaco! where no one will care if the car is any good or not as long as its new and expensive!

The CLs look more like the GT3s center lock and not the CGT?

The 918 is an example of fantastic engineering to a terrible concept borne out of the marketing department. Nobody cares if it's full hybrid as opposed to the Ferrari and McLaren solutions; people do care that it is an absolute pig and a full step down in performance.

Isn't the launch September 18th? Less than 2 months now...

Jeez, the new Cayman has better lines than that thing.

Porsche is starting to worry me.
