mooty, euro delivery is a bucket list item. I don't have many, top two are this and catching a bluefin tuna on light stand-up tackle during the fall run off the cape.

I'm trying to figure out how to tell my wife. The trip to Germany is no problem since I go 2x/year. . . but I fear casually mentioning that I'm picking up my new GT3 while there might not go over well. Gotta work on my story.

That'll help.

I think she'll be OK. I just bought her a new pimpin Audi Q7 diesel last month. She really likes it and thinks the diesel is cool. I think for the first time in a long time she really feels like it's 'hers'. I had her do all the paperwork, titled it in her name only and had her write the check to pay for it. Wish I did it that way when we bought her last vehicle.

just fyi they "used" to simply "glue" the front plates to the bumper ... this was certainly the case in 2006 when I did ED on my 7.1 ... YMMV

p.s
the plates will already be fitted to the car by the time you 1st see it at the delivery ctr in Zuffenhausen

My ED '09 C2S had holes drilled for the front plate, as did my ED '99 996. I missed the "glue era"...

Try Tiffany jewelry or a Celine bag.

Larry/Mike, were the plates regular euro plates? If so, I'll have locate or make a modified tow hook bracket for the larger euro plate.

frayed, this is what mine looked like in '09. 13.25" W x 4.5" H compared to 12" x 6" for a standard US plate.

you go germany for business.
call home, honey, PAG has a batch of demo cars that are ON SALE. i picked on out, much cheaper than USA. mooty has many RS, most are about $56,000. they dont have memory seat or keyless entry system. and you even have to shift the damn car yourself.... it's not nearly as good as the nice new lexus i bought you......

you ship it home with 3000 miles on it and some purposely placed chocolate stains... "see, i told you honey, it's a little beat up, so i got a good discount."

Not enough ginseng in the world to memorize the Ring without driving it.
I tried and was lost after 6 turns.

Listen to Mooty's advice.
