Porsche start listening to your customers, as BMW does.

BMW lost me as a customer forever in 2006. As much as I love the E60 M5, the complete lack of support from BMWNA on multiple failed transmissions and engine failures on a brand new car was an eye opener. To boot, now they have actually lost the plot with turbos and fuel efficient M cars so, I say no, never again to them.

I didn't buy Porsche bc it's fast or reliable
Honda actually makes much better engines
Porsche used to b quirky and well.... weird
today, it drives like a car
if I wanted a car, I buy Honda they make the best cars
I bought a Porsche bc I wanted a Porsche
when Porsche starts to make cars is when I quit
can't afford a singer but retro dating a 3.2 or a 964 suddenly become interesting

The last Real M3 was the First M3. My dad had his for E30 for 20 years. Every iteration becomes
more bloated and then it needs more HP to move its now fat a** around the street - let alone a track.
Of course the feds piling on safety requirements is never ending. Current M3 is 3700 lbs and a diet of
600 lbs would be great for a track version!
As far as "M-branding" is concerned; BMW "M" designated Suv's can now be purchased...... Maybe a Cayenne GTS is even worse LOL
At least they still offer manuals and even responded to a public outcry in the US over the SMG M5
to include a MT. I hope their recent motorsport success will lead to better variants than the Lime
Rock bs.....
PS - I'm starting to like the Cayman S even more and want to see what the Cayman R will be like

The Porsche dealers across the country are ultimately who sold us out. The "voice" of the customer to Porsche is effectively our dealers, and I found out from my local dealer that they were given a "questionnaire" from Porsche about the manual transmission and how the customer would react to it going away. The dealers basically told Porsche not to worry about, and that they could sell more cars if it was PDK only, for no more reason than that they wanted to also sell more cars via the double clutch. It was greed on the part of all our dealers who ultimately sold us out. This came straight from the GM of my local dealer. Pretty upsetting actually.

Much more exited about an RSA or a 993TT than a 991.

On the 993, you had to check the box for "Sunroof Delete" - no cost but very few examples...

I've owned 4 BMW's...from a new '75 2002, through a couple of 5 series, to an E36 M3. There's not currently any BMW I'd rather own than it's Porsche competitor....
