Whining?
Does it sound to anyone else like there is a lot of whining going on for what really looks to be a bad a** car?

Especially considering not one of us has driven it yet...

Whining hardly describes it. Not all, but many of the constantly repeated negative comments and assumptions based on zero first hand experience with the car are little more than trolling.

Oh yeah! But this is standard operating practice everytime Porsche does something new.
Opinions are fine, but the relentless negativity directed towards a car we haven't even driven yet is palapable here and very repetitive.
I do think this car has a lot of promise and I am glad that Porsche is imaginative and trying to move forward. There is a great market for wonderful used Porsches that fulfill any desire for less sophistication and a more traditional experience.

Whining? yes; and aside from the usual forum hyperboles, it is quite normal I would say considering that this is the first GT3 that doesn't look too GT3ish neither in specs, nor in philosophy (well..yet).
Worthy of a separate thread to discuss it? not so sure; but I did my best nevertheless..

I respect you opinion, but don't you agree that you really need to drive the car to know?

They don't let you test drive because they know it won't matter. Either you want it or you don't. If you don't, there's a line behind you. GT3's don't sit on the lot very long.

I sure would not call myself a 'fan boi' either. I was pretty negative on the 991s when it came out, and I love my 997s-almost too much to sell. I'm just thinking with the GT3-same weight as mine, 120 more hp, with a 9K RPM redline hmmm.
